Taking your customers on a journey with you is a powerful tool that will help you grow your education business. Showing who you are, what you believe in, what you care about and what is going on in your life can really build relationships with potential customers and, eventually, convert to sales.

Everyone has stuff going on, don’t they? We all have times in life where we have to adapt because things are just happening that take their toll. I share a lot of my stories with my audience. So, let me tell you why and why that can help convert to sales.

It helps build the ‘know, like and trust’ factor

When you take people on a journey with you, it makes you more relatable to them. They find things in common with you, they get to know and like you on a human level. People buy from people, remember! You are reminding your audience that you are human, things may happen in your life and there will be times where you have to step back from the business a little. They’ll get to know you and know that you’ll let them know why things aren’t running the way they usually do in your education business. They will get to know what to expect from you, your content and how you deal with it when things don’t run as smoothly as they might usually do.

People will comment on posts where you share your stories. They might comment to show concern, or they might wish to celebrate with you depending on what the story you’re sharing is. They might even comment to share similar experiences with you. This is great for your engagement numbers and will push your posts on socials out more.

You might feel uncomfortable sharing your life online, that’s okay. You can share as much or as little as you like. You can keep it strictly business if you want to or you can share personal stories. It’s your journey to share. But share something! It will help you to grow your education business.
